The A-88MKII was designed from the ground-up for the modern-day producer and musician. A PHA-4 hammer-action keyboard provides a smooth playing feel, while RGB-lit controls, USB-C connectivity and a MIDI 2.0 ready architecture ensures its prepared for the future.

MIDI 2.0
The most significant update to MIDI since its initial release is just over the horizon. The engineering eggheads at Roland have subsequently built the A-8MKII to be universally compatible with any technological advancements in particular MIDI 2.0. Itll take full advantage of the new and exciting features that are promised by the next instalment.
Production Potential
Onboard tools allow for complex, layered productions. An advanced arpeggiator, chord memory, three customisable zones and triggerable, multipurpose pads provide multiple creative options during real-time performance.
The three zones let you split and layer the keyboard with an assortment of instruments and sounds. These can then be altered as you see fit via an intuitive modulation/pitch lever, alongside the pads and knobs. Plugging in a sustain pedal through the input results in a whole other creative avenue.
Rolands control app allows you to customise your experience even further. Reference mappings and layers quickly, and assign your commands to each pad using a variety of colours. Its even possible to take control of external hardware and soft synths. Use the Snap Shot function to then immediately recall your saved parameters.
