Description
It may sound odd, but this electro-acoustic from Ibanez has been designed from the ground-up for electric guitarists. Thanks to its unique design and playability, the transition from using an electric guitar to this is intended to be completely seamless.
Intriguing Appearance
You can tell just from looking at it that it’s not a traditional electro-acoustic in any sense of the word. Ibanez’ shredding pedigree has been distilled into an eye-catching, compact body, boasting a Florentine cutaway. This serves two purposes: improving amplification and enhancing the playing experience.
Carefully Selected Woods
A combination of sapele back and sides and a spruce top results in a wide frequency range and increased comfort. These woods are complimented by a sturdy nyatoh neck and a walnut fingerboard. You’ll be able to move effortlessly, yet accurately along them both.
A top loading bridge has also been incorporated, leading to fast, headache-free string changes, all without bridge pins!
Fishman Sonicore Pickup
When plugged in, this Fishman pickup helps to project a full, well-rounded sound. The Ibanez AEQ-SP1 preamp works alongside it, delivering more punch via the integrated EQ – with bass, middle and treble controls all available, allowing for slight tonal tweaks. A digital tuner located on the upper bout is simple and quick to reference.
