This retrospective family of guitars honors the Legacy Collection of Taylor founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug and their contributions to the world of guitar-making with models that channel Bobs early inspirations and design innovations.
The first 100 guitars built of each model feature an interior label personally signed by Taylor founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug.
Legacy 714ce
Like its mahogany/cedar Grand Auditorium counterpart, the Legacy 714ce features a cedar top, but its paired here with Indian rosewood back and sides. Voiced with traditional X-bracing, it serves up a richly textured sound with warm lows, clear trebles and exceptional touch sensitivity, offering a response that adapts effortlessly across genres and playing styles. Like its 514ce counterpart, this model features a modern Taylor neck with a comfortably slim, hand-friendly profile.
Visual details follow the sleek, understated style worn by the 714ce for many years, including black binding with black and white pinstripes, dot fretboard inlays in green abalone and a matching three-ring rosette, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, gold tuning machines, and gloss-finished body with a satin-finished neck.
