Description
The Aclam “Woman Tone” is an emulation of one of the most iconic electric guitar tones of all time – Eric Clapton’s late-’60s Cream era tone. This tone cemented the Gibson into a Marshall combo as one of THE definitive sounds of rock guitar.
Clapton’s Cream Sound in a Box!
The Aclam Woman Tone encapsulates the smooth, creamy sustaining overdrive Clapton achieved, with a characteristically mellow top end. The P.A.F equipped 335s, SGs and Les Pauls he played in that era allowed for an “airy” articulation, while his manipulation of the tone control took the edge off of the aggressive treble you get from a Marshall Plexi, leaving a warm, smooth and refined overdrive.
P.A.F Perfection
The Aclam Woman Tone features a pickup simulation circuit to achieve the tonal characteristics of a P.A.F Humbucker – a rich, full, and open sound with sublime dynamics. The pedal also emulates the touch sensitivity of a Plexi for a full range of clean to saturated tones controlled entirely by your pick attack.
Here’s what Aclam say about The Woman Tone:
The Woman Tone is our own tribute to Eric Claptons amazing sound during his Cream era. An accurateapproach to the unique tone he attained with a simple yet effective combination of a P.A.F equippedGibson and 100W Marshall stacks all the way up!
