Like my most favourite resurrecting wizard in fantasy literature, this limited run has returned back to us finished in a stunning white covering. Famed for its ability to go between the most sparkling pristine cleans all the way to the most intense saturated high gain tones ever found on an Orange Amp this is a British-made all-valve powered guitar amp that will have your back no matter whats required.
Key Features
Valve Buffered Effects Loop: Ensuring that the signal path remains purely valve-driven throughout the whole amplifier the ultra-transparent 12AT7-powered FX loop tocks every box.
Footswitchable Attenuator: Carefully thought-out attenuator designed specifically to keep the relationship between the output transformer and the speaker perfectly intact for maximum responsiveness. Use in conjunction with the footswitch to flip between an attenuated rhythm volume and boosted lead tone.
Switchable Output Power:Thanks to the Dual Darks full/half switch at the front and the 2 or 4 output valve selector on the rear you can choose between 100, 70, 50 or 30w of output power for maximum versatility and control over headroom and breakup.
Tweaked Channel A
Drifting slightly from the original Dual Dark, Channel A on the limited reissue has been slightly tweaked to have more of an OR100 voice. With a tone more in keeping with some of Orange’s original and loved tones of the 70s, channel A remains heavy with a tight bass response but with an added touch of more old-school British high-gain and thrash-style tones. Rich in upper harmonics with a thunderous mid-range punch this channel is also perfect for a characterful British-voiced clean sound.
Channel B
Channel B remains to be the classic Dual Dark modern voiced high-gain channel taking influence from the much-loved Dark Terror circuit. Lightning-fast attack and articulation make this amp the perfect choice for down-tuned percussive riffage. The shape control allows you to quickly dial in the perfect sound with just one knob. Easily go between scooped metal rhythm tones with a thunderously tight low-end thump to a more mid-pushed harmonically rich sound thats perfect for cutting through any mix.
