Description
Roland’s SPD One Percussion Pad is the perfect all-in-one solution for applying realistic percussion sounds to your live or studio performances. Boasting 22 expressive, dynamic drum sounds – ranging from cymbals, shakers, tambourines, hi-hats, kick drums and a bunch more – you’ll have all of the rhythmic tools required to enhance your stage show and productions. Simply clamp it to your tom, cymbal or hi-hat stand using the included adapter and you’ll be ready to go!
Play Your Way
You can play this pad anyway you like, really. Use drumsticks, your hands, or your feet (if you’re so inclined). Certain parameters like trigger threshold and sensitivity can be adjusted in seconds using the hands-on controls positioned on the side. The pad is responsive and highly playable, whether you’re a drummer looking for a new element for your setup, or a guitarist who’s looking for some stomping beats.
Extensive Sound Library
The 22 onboard sounds means you’ll be ready for musical scenarios of any genre or style. Every single sound is reproduced in high-quality audio, with a level of nuance and detail that you’d expect from their real-life counterpart. Swap between gongs, timpanis and more on-the-fly; whatever you require to suit the song, it’s bound to be here!
Simple Controls
Ease of use is the name of the game here. To select your sounds, all you have to do is turn the bank selector to one of the twelve positions and then strike the pad to get going. Four main knobs on the front let you lower or increase the volume, customise individual sounds and balance your levels. It’s this range of streamlined controls which make the pad a breeze to operate.
Highly Portable
The unit is rugged, compact and built to withstand the rigours of the road. Battery operated, lightweight and sleek, its metal construction allows you to confidently take it with you wherever it’s required. You’ll be able to produce and play sounds while you travel too thanks to a built-in headphone port.
Music Production
Integrated USB-MIDI support allows you to use the SPD One Percussion Pad as a digital controller for your DAW. You’ll be able to add realistic MIDI percussion to your existing or new productions.
Import Custom Samples
Using USB, you’ll be able to import your own custom WAV samples (anything up to five seconds long). These can then be altered in the same way that you would with the preset sounds.
