This set features the 14″ K Custom Hybrid HiHats,the 16″ K Custom Hybrid Crash features an unlathed, buffed center for articulation and a lathed edge for crashability, while the 20″ K Custom Hybrid Ride combines darkness and brilliance.

The K Custom Hybrid Pack by Zildjian offers beautifully blended K Custom Hybrid cymbals developed in conjunction with Akira Jimbo. This set features the unique 14-1/4″ K Custom Hybrid HiHats which retain the precision of 14″ hats, but offer additional power and cut like 15″ hats. Additionally, the 17″ K Custom Hybrid Crash features an unlathed, buffed center for articulation and a lathed edge for crashability, while the 21″ K Custom Hybrid Ride combines darkness and brilliance.

The K Custom Hybrid cymbals were designed to be incredibly versatile – providing a complex combination of bright and dark tones. This is achieved with the half natural/half lathed top to the cymbal. The unlathed, buffed centre and lathed outer edge help to create the unique hybrid sound, with the outer lathed edge producing an enhanced response and a lighter overall sound.

The centre of the cymbal features a more focused sound with clearer stick definition. This tonal combination ensures these cymbals hit the sonic sweet spot between thin, heavy, bright, and dark. The unlathed centres are particularly noticeable on the rides where the bell sings and is great for accenting.
